Shampoos

 

There are many different types of medications available that your vet may prescribe for your pet. We understand that it can all be a bit confusing, especially if you are given more than one type of medication.  We have prepared a brief summary of some of the more common products you may be given.

 

Shampoos are sometimes prescribed for skin conditions. They will usually contain an antimicrobial product which will treat bacterial and/or fungal infections. They may also contain ingredients to soothe skin irritation. Your vet will usually give you instructions on how to use the shampoo and how often. You can also see our guide to shampooing your pet.
